Welcome to Sacrifice & Remembrance

JP

Initially Jeremy Prescott developed the Sacrifice  & Remembrance Presentation, which received Heritage Lottery Funding,  to support communities in their commemoration of the 100th anniversary of WW1. The presentations in this series have been given (as at 1st Dec 2025) to over 22,000 people in 660 venues raising  £51,800 for Combat Stress. In response to requests  from audiences there are now 16  different topics in this series.

The moving themes of these presentations are not about the rights and wrongs of going to war but how those who fought, with many making the ultimate sacrifice and showing extreme bravery, are commemorated and remembered.

He provides these presentations entirely on a voluntary basis and apart from travel expenses (I live in Southsea, Hampshire) makes no charge. Any donations received, and these are encouraged both from the organisation arranging the presentation and from individuals in the audience, are forwarded to the Veterans Mental Health Charity “Combat Stress”.

Recently Jeremy has delivered these presentations on cruise ships ; Cunard – Queen Victoria   Princess – Regal Princess, Ambassador -Ambience with another 3 cruise placements in 2025 with P&O – Iona and Cunard – Queen Anne and Queen Victoria
