Welcome to Sacrifice and Remembrance

Initially Jeremy Prescott developed the Sacrifice and Remembrance Presentation, which received Heritage Lottery Funding,  to support communities in their commemoration of the 100th anniversary of WW1. The presentations in this series have been given (as at 11th July 2020) to over 11,770 people in 238 venues raising £14,302 for Combat Stress. In response to requests  from audiences there are now 11 different presentations in this series.

The moving themes of these presentations are not about the rights and wrongs of going to war or the conduct of war but how those who fought, with many making the ultimate sacrifice and showing extreme bravery, are commemorated and remembered.

He provides these presentations on a voluntary basis and apart from travel expenses makes no charge. Any donations received, and these are encouraged both from the organisation arranging the presentation and from individuals in the audience, are forwarded to the Veterans Mental Health Charity “Combat Stress”.

Due to the current COVID-19 crisis presentations in person are temporarily suspended but Jeremy is more than happy to offer these presentations via ZOOM. To donate to Combat Stress please see the link on the Combat Stress page.
