Initially Jeremy Prescott developed the Sacrifice and Remembrance Presentation, which received Heritage Lottery Funding, to support communities in their commemoration of the 100th anniversary of WW1. The presentations in this series have been given (as at 24th Nov 2021) to 14,260 people in 395 venues raising over £21,000 for Combat Stress. In response to requests from audiences there are now 13 different presentations in this series.
The moving themes of these presentations are not about the rights and wrongs of going to war but how those who fought, with many making the ultimate sacrifice and showing extreme bravery, are commemorated and remembered.
He provides these presentations entirely on a voluntary basis and apart from travel expenses makes no charge. Any donations received, and these are encouraged both from the organisation arranging the presentation and from individuals in the audience, are forwarded to the Veterans Mental Health Charity “Combat Stress”.
Zoom Presentations
Jeremy is very happy to conduct presentations by Zoom to extend the project to a wider geographical audience
