Initially Jeremy Prescott developed the Sacrifice and Remembrance Presentation, which received Heritage Lottery Funding, to support communities in their commemoration of the 100th anniversary of WW1. The presentations in this series have been given (as at 1st Feb 2023) to 16,241 people in 450 venues raising £26,421.56 for Combat Stress. In response to requests from audiences there are now 14 different presentations in this series.
The moving themes of these presentations are not about the rights and wrongs of going to war but how those who fought, with many making the ultimate sacrifice and showing extreme bravery, are commemorated and remembered.
He provides these presentations entirely on a voluntary basis and apart from travel expenses (I live in Southsea, Hampshire) makes no charge. Any donations received, and these are encouraged both from the organisation arranging the presentation and from individuals in the audience, are forwarded to the Veterans Mental Health Charity “Combat Stress”.
Zoom Presentations
Jeremy is very happy to conduct presentations by Zoom to extend the project to a wider geographical audience
